How to get to the Centre

Actuarial Education and Reference Centre is located close to the city of Lviv centre, on 32-D Stepena Bandery Street, near the main building of the National University “Lviv Polytechnic”.

By air:

The most convenient and frequently used connection airports when flying to Lviv are Warsaw, Kyiv and Vienna. Here is the schedule of direct return flights to Lviv from Warsaw, Vienna, Frankfurt, Moscow and Kiev.

There is also a possibility to fly to Kiev (Borispol Airport) and then from Kiev to Lviv. The Borispol Airport is the main airport in Ukraine and there are many daily return flights from Kiev to the main European destinations such as Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Vienna, Paris and Zurich. Getting from the airport
The best way to get to the city centre is to order a radio taxi by telephone on arrival (39 34 34 or 39 33 33), which will be much cheaper than taking one of the cabs standing in front of the airport. The journey to the city centre will cost some UAH 15.00 (approx. 3 USD). Alternatively by public transport you could take a number 9 trolley-bus (UAH 0.50) or any of the taxi-buses (UAH 0.80) called “marshrutka” that leave from the stop opposite the airport entrance – all of them go to the city centre too.

By rail:

Ukraine generally has a good railway system. The fastest train No 91/92 between Lviv and Kiev runs at night and the journey lasts about 8 hours.

Leaves Kiev at 21.28, arrives to Lviv at 6.15 (next day)

Leaves Lviv at 22.45, arrives to Kiev at 7.39 (next day)

Travelling by train from one of the countries west of Ukraine would take longer as you have to go through customs and the process of changing undercarriage on railway cars. (Ukraine has a wider gauge compared to the rest of Europe).

Domestic trains are available to Lviv almost from every city in Ukraine.

International trains are available from such European cities as:

In Lviv you can buy railway tickets at the main railway station's ticket office, or at the ticket office in the city centre on 20, Hnatiuka St., tel: +380 322 7485461.
Tickets to Kyiv can also be bought at the Grand Hotel - 13, Prospect Svobody.

Getting from the Railway Station
The best way to get to the city centre is to order a radio taxi on arrival by telephone (39 34 34 or 39 33 33), which will be much cheaper than taking one of the cabs standing in front of the railway station. The journey to the centre will cost about UAH 15.00.
Alternatively by public transport you could also take a No.9 or No.1 tram (UAH0.50) or taxi-buses, called “marshrutka”, No.66, 67 or 68 (UAH 0.80) that leave from the stop opposite the railway station entrance. They all go to the city centre and tickets are sold on board.

By bus:

Buses run every day to Lviv from Warsaw and Krakow. It's a 10-hour journey involving sometimes-lengthy border crossing at night.

The transport company "Autolux" makes the regular intercity passengers' transportation on the territory of Ukraine by high-speed and high-comfort buses "Mitsubishi". There are three daily trips Kiev – Lviv – Kiev. For more details please visit the web site of the Company “Autolux”
