On February 28 – March 10, 2005 the exam-training course in subject CT5 – Life Insurance Mathematics successfully took place in the Centre. Invited lecturer was international partner of the Centre Prof. Andrej Kudryavtsev from St. Petersburg state university, Russia. Students with different backgrounds participated in this course. Employees of Insurance companies, such as “Tekom-Life”, “PROSTO-Starhuvannia”, “ECC”, “TAS”, “Lider”, “Lemma-Vite”, “Ingo Ukraine”. Employees of academic institutions, such as National university “Lviv Polytechnik”, Lviv bank institute.

On June 3-4, 2004 international partners from Australia, Belgium and Poland have visited the Centre.

Prof. Emil Valdez, Prof. Jan Dhaene and Dr. Maciej Sterzynski presented lectures at First Ukrainian Actuarial Workshop on the following topics:

1) “Copula Modelling in Insurance and Finance”

2) “Capital Requirements, Risk Measures and Optimal Portfolio Selection”

3) “Capital Requirements by the Solvency Programs 1973-2007, changes within the European supervision system”

On April 22 – April 24, 2004 Dr. Nataliya Kravchuk had visited 6th International Professional Meeting for Leaders of the Profession and Actuarial Educators in Central and Eastern Europe and had given presentation on the Current State of Development of the Actuarial Profession and Education in Ukraine.
